Mental Health Day

From this Mental Health Day onwards, lets be more aware of the mental health issues and signs if you or someone needs help, keep a check over below signs,

  • No motivation for any work.
  • Sudden change in appetite pattern or weight.
  • Too quiet or withdrawn.
  • One wants to keep lying in bed or couch.
  • If someone acts “too happy” despite setbacks.
  • Repeated unexplained procrastination for vital work as well.
  • Thoughts of self-harm or repeated talks over suicide or harming someone.
  • Sleeping too much or too little.
  • Sudden change in behaviour or personality.
  • Feeling anxious or worried (Palpitations, persisting headache, racing mind, trembling)
  • Frequent lies in usual conversations too.
  • Feeling guilty or worthless frequently.
  • Unexplained physical problem or pain.
  • If one sees negative in everything and everyone around.
How you can help:
  • Encourage open communication and if needed, treatment/professional help.
  • Help your loved one create a less stressful environment.
  • Encourage your loved one to practice self-care, providing tips and assistance
  • Keep in touch, calling, emailing, and video chatting often or meet in person.
  • Continue to educate yourself about mental health.
